I saw the above image making the rounds on the facebook on January the first - I'm often one that is more often be to found considering a jar, a glass and the like half empty, I'm cynical by nature. Looking back on this year I tend to focus on what hasn't happened then rather considering what has - which if why I made the point in writing about my Hook, Stitch, Treasure stores so convince myself I have been somewhat successful this year.
Jars and scraps of paper with happy memories, events and occasions. What couldn't be simpler about that? I'm actually using an old Jack Daniels bottle which means I'll get to welcome in the next new year smashing it, or just keeping it for years and years unopened.
How do you mark and remember the happy memories?
SUch a cute idea. I would probably end up keeping the jar, and collecting them over the years - nice to look back on!

I love this idea, I may have to adopt it although I'll probably forget all about it and it'll be empty by the end of the year (: It's a lovely thing to keep and look back on though. xx

Ooh I really like this idea! Thanks for sharing! I'm always being reminded about memories from high school that I'd forgotten about so will be nice to actually write them down and put them somewhere this year!
ReplyDeleteI keep a diary and take loads of photographs to keep memories but I love this idea. I've seen this on Pinterest, pinned it and then promptly forgot all about it!
