Portrait postcards were popular in the early 1900's as a way of allowing people to get photographed, their image printed upon a postcard which they then could mail to family and friends. The divided correspondence side to both of the above postcards date these to be published after 1907 but through their clothing they are still certainly very old. They both caught my attention this weekend at estate sales and i've been wondering ever since about who they were, who were they intended receivers of these postcards - although neither postcard was ever mailed or written upon. What were their stories? Their life? If only they could speak.
